Morning Light

In continuation with my first post, here are some more images from Bahe. The bridge across Krishna river, lined with stone and the arches give a nostalgic feel of an old bridge. It is a view which would make you sit down on the walk way and be with yourself. Following images were shot on a summer morning. During summer, you can get to the middle of river, as the water level is low and the rocks are all exposed to walk through to the middle of river.

Baya Weaver

While wandering around the temples on Ramlinga Island, I came across with a busy weaver bird, building a nest. My patience paid off in getting this striking pose.

The island is a natural stone landscape, with patterns carved by the river stream. Its a calm and serene place, occasionally disturbed by a state transport bus passing over the bridge. With fields surrounding the place, flowing water and very few visitors, it is home to many species of the birds.
